The Ultimate SilverSilk Weekend Workshop

Book Kit Website Button-min.jpg

Are you new to SilverSilk? Or perhaps not new, but needing more inspiration and instructions. Well, this is the workshop you’ve been waiting for! Join me on May 21, 22 and 23, 2021 for what I’m calling the Ultimate SilverSilk Weekend Workshop! I’ve chosen five really great designs that demonstrate a wide variety of techniques and ideas and have packaged it all into a fun-filled weekend that you can spend with me, Nealay <3

This workshop is a package deal of five instructed classes, five individually packaged kits, one very special tool, a pattern book and one Zoom afterparty. Each class is an hour long and I’ll be teaching two designs per day, back-to-back with a 15 minute break in between. On the last day, we just have one project but a snazzy afterparty for us to chit-chat about anything over on Zoom.

This workshop is only open to those who purchase the book kit. Each of the five classes contains a special kit that includes all the supplies you need for each project. Tools, other than the one I invented for Project 4, are not included in the kit and you’ll need to bring them to class.

Schedule

Purchase your Ultimate Book Kit today, it will be shipped out early April.

Class Projects & Schedule

Friday, May 21, 2021

Project 1: Woodland Wonderer Earrings
2pm PT – 3pm PT / 5pm ET – 6pm ET

This has to be one of my favorite projects from the new book! I’m not an expert wire-wrapper but I sure do know how to make a WOW design with just using a simple stringing and wrapping technique. You’ll learn how to wrap up beads too during this course!

Project 2: Coming Up Roses Earrings
3:15pm PT – 4:15pm PT / 6:15pm ET – 7:15pm ET

Just look at those cute roses all nested inside wire. This project is fun, fast and fabulous and will have you making lots of mini components in no time with a simple wire-wrapping process. You’ll also learn some easy shortcuts to using double-strand end caps with customized Pearlesque Chain that I specially made for just this project.

Project 3: Swift Currents Bracelet
2pm PT – 3pm PT / 5pm ET – 6pm ET

Is this a three-strand bracelet or a six-strand bracelet? The answer is BOTH! We’re crimping both beading wire AND Pearlesque Chain into a triple-strand end cap with a special technique I developed just for this bracelet. It’s so easy once I explain it step-by-step and you will be amazed. And if you enjoy braiding, this is the project for you!

Project 4: Mighty Rivers Necklace
3:15pm PT – 4:15pm PT / 6:15pm ET – 7:15pm ET

I made a special SilverSilk exclusive tool JUST for this project. We are braiding four strands of chain together into one chunky, multi-colored gorgeous chain with ease in this class. No more guessing if the chains are braiding correctly with my special tool, known as the SS Braid Board. I’ll walk you step-by-step with each braid and show you how fast you can make a chunky necklace of your own. We’ll learn how to attach cones to the ends of multiple chains at once and even embellish the clasp area with decorative beads!

Project 5: Path to Patagonia Bracelet
2pm PT – 3pm PT / 5pm ET – 6pm ET

Let’s take a walk in the woods with this eclectic bracelet. Here, I found things that remind me of Patagoina, such as wild life, flowers, the sun and even a crystal bead to represent ice caps. It’s super fun and all unified by the “path” created by Capture chain! In this class, we will practice using terminators and learn how to make fluid loops on beading wire. We’ll carefully arrange our beads and assemble the best bracelet for the summer! The final embellishment is a Silkies Charm to represent how much fun this workshop was and that you will wear your bracelet with pride.

We can’t say goodbye to the workshop weekend without one last HURRAH! Grabbing a book kit grants you instant access to our Zoom afterparty. You’re invited to ask me, Nealay, any questions about beading, crafting and hobbies or just hop on to say hi! This is a great chance for us to just kick back and enjoy talking about our favorite SilverSilk things. You will receive a zoom invite through your email on Sunday morning so after our final class is done, you can just hop right over to Zoom. There will be cocktails so be sure to have one of your own so we can make a toast!
