Sparkling Gemstone Wrap Bracelet Tutorial - Create a Dazzling Design with SilverSilk and Jesse James Beads
Hello Silkies! Today, I'm thrilled to bring you a fantastic tutorial using SilverSilk, a knitted wire jewelry chain that I personally create. In this project, we'll be crafting a dazzling wrap bracelet featuring beautiful beads from Jesse James Beads. Stick around for a sparkling creation that's perfect for adding a touch of glamour to your style.
Before we dive into the magic, let's gather our tools and materials:
Tools:
Cutters: Essential for cutting wires.
Chain Nose Pliers (Wubbers Tools): Ideal for handling chains.
Wide Nose Pliers (with Tool Magic coating): Used for crimping SilverSilk findings.
Bead Stoppers: They stop the beads from falling off your stringing material.
Materials:
10in • SilverSilk Leather Knitted Cord
26in • 26-gauge gold Soft Flex Craft Wire
14in Strand • Jesse James Beads 2mm Small Gradient Glass Bead Strand
1 • Lobster Claw Clasp
2 • 5mm Jump Rings
3 • SilverSilk Single-Strand End Caps
Step 1: Stringing the Beads
Begin by cutting a strand of the glass bead strand. Use a bead stopper about 6 inches from one end of the wire. String the beads onto the wire, taking advantage of the transparent beads to showcase the gold wire lining. This creates a beautiful illuminated bead effect. Secure the beads with the bead stopper.
Step 2: Creating the Beaded Section
Wrap the beaded wire around the SilverSilk Leather Knitted Cord. Coil the bare wire around the textured chain five times, ensuring a secure hold. Then, gradually slide the beads down and coil them around the chain. Enjoy the magic as the gradient comes to life, adding a pop of gold within the beads.
Step 3: Finishing the Wrap
Continue wrapping the beaded wire until you reach the desired length. Coil the bare wire neatly at the end of your preferred length for a polished look. Trim any excess wire and use your chain nose pliers to tuck in the wire end, ensuring a clean finish. Trim and tuck the wire on the other side, maintaining symmetry.
Step 4: Adding End Caps
Clean up the wire ends and trim any protruding wire bits on the Leather Knitted cord. Attach SilverSilk Single-Strand End Caps to each end of the chain. Use wide nose pliers to crimp the end caps securely. Trim off excess wire for a clean and professional finish.
Step 5: Attaching Clasp
Open a jump ring using chain nose pliers and attach it to the end cap. Connect the lobster claw clasp to the jump ring. Repeat on the other side. Ensure a secure closure, and your dazzling gemstone wrap bracelet is ready to wear!
